Tasty with Healthy Ingredients, January 20, 2016 This review is from: Post Great Grains Raisin-Date-Pecan Cereal, 16 oz (Grocery) Tried these for the first time tonight (for dinner). Really liked the taste. How about the nutrition? Pretty good, but could be lower in sugar:
3/4 cup = one serving:
210 calories fat - 6% of your daily value sodium - 8 % iron - 50% carbs - 14% Fiber - 20% sugar - 13g
A nutritionist recommended staying under 8g of sugar, so 13g exceeds that. It's recommended you not exceed 50g of added sugar a day. So, if you are eating homemade soups and salads and protein the rest of the day, you probably don't have to worry about 13g of sugar.
Really like the pecans in this cereal. Clusters are tasty, too. 5 stars for taste, but took off a star as the sugar is higher than I usually eat.
