Finally I realized that I might have some success searching for it on Amazon. Well, I found Post Alpha-Bits easily and I quickly ordered a multi-box quantity with great anticipation. Now comes the great disappointment - the fine folks at Post have tampered with the formula! They've added "whole grain" to the Alpha-Bits recipe and (perhaps) may have made other adjustments to make the cereal more healthful for the consumer. Well let me be honest about the taste, it's not the delicious cereal I used to enjoy back in the day. Don't waste your money. Then they mysteriously disappeared and I couldn't find it for years. A few weeks ago I was in my grocery store stocking up because we were about to have a snowstorm. There they were on the shelf staring at me, I couldn't believe it! I pulled out my phone and checked the reviews on Amazon, they mostly seemed to be favorable. What the heck..I'll give it a shot!This cereal was AWFUL, just terrible. They aren't frosted and tasted like cardboard. I checked the side (don't know why I didn't do that originally) and most of the sugar had been taken out. And when I say cardboard I really can't emphasize enough how much I mean that. Honey Nut Cheerios have more sugar in them than this. Yes, I know sugar is bad for you overall...but dang, can't a person treat themselves once in a while?
